25th Annual Lauren's Run and CURE Picnic

Julie's Jazzy Joggers

Our family will be participating in Lauren's Run 5k/2k on April 28th. This event raises money for CURE, an organization that funds research for childhood cancer and supports families dealing with pediatric cancer. As many of you know, our daughter Julie, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in September of 2018. This has greatly affected our lives as we now spend our days concerned with doctor's appointments, rehabilitation, medications and their side effects, and try to keep Julie and her brother, Andy, entertained and continuing their "normal" lives as much as possible.

Julie wants everyone to know that Molly (the brain tumor) has kept her from school and her friends, but Molly is not participating in the run! Julie loves music and dance, and has enjoyed her music therapy at the rehab program and has used dance as physical therapy to improve after her surgeries. There is a therapy dog named Stella that she really enjoys too. We chose the team name Julie's Jazzy Joggers, because of Julie's love of dance.

If anyone wants to catch up and doesn't have the Caring Bridge website, you can find it here: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/juliesjourney18

Please consider joining us on our team on April 28th in Dunwoody at the Concourse Office Park (The King and Queen buildings). The more people the merrier and the better for CURE. If you are unable to join us, we welcome donations to one of the team members.

Thank you so much for all of your support and we look forward to seeing you at Lauren's Run!
